Sally Kirkland has died shortly after she entered hospice amid an ongoing battle with dementia and other health issues. She was 84.

Kirkland took her last breath at 1:50 a.m. PST, her representative Michael Greene told TMZ . Greene also confirmed the actress’ death to Deadline and Variety .

Kirkland’s death comes after the legendary actress entered hospice in Palm Springs, California following a string significant medical incidents over the past year. An update on a GoFundMe page for Kirkland also confirmed that the Oscar-nominee was in hospice.

“Thank you for all your love and support. Sally is grateful for your kindness and love,” the message from Friday, Nov. 7 read. “Sally is on hospice now and is resting comfortably. Please hold and send the light for Sally.”
