SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- In the wake of the longest government shutdown in US history, organizations like Tanglewood Trace and Luminary Hospice Care are doing what they can to provide for local families in need. With Thanksgiving coming up, they will "adopt" 10 families, donating "Harvest of Hope" Thanksgiving meals to each family with the help of The Skillet, a local South Bend restaurant.

ABC57's Summer Horan sat down Tuesday morning with Jessica Hirsch from the Tanglewood Trace Activities Department and Amber Vite, a Luminary Hospice Care Consultant, to talk about this initiative and how you can help.
