SBFD responds to Sunday morning fire

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Fire Department reports crews responded to a house fire in the 1200 block of Lincolnway West around 9 a.m., Sunday.

Crews arrived on scene to find smoke billowing from the home and found a fire on the second floor.

Firefighters had the fire under control within 20 minutes.

One person was treated on scene for smoke inhalation but was not taken to the hospital.

The American Red Cross was called to assist the residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Share
