Betty Harford, a prolific actor with memorable roles in classic television has died at the age of 98 years old.
Harford’s friend, Wendy Mitchell, confirmed the news to Hollywood Reporter , stating that Harford died on Nov. 2 in Santa Barbara.
Though she began acting in the 1950s, her biggest roles were in the 1970s show “The Paper Chase,” as Mr. Nottingham, the efficient secretary for the formidable professor Charles Kingsfield, played by John Houseman, Variety reported.
Harford also played the recurring role of cook Hilda Gunnerson from 1981 to 1989, appearing in 34 episodes of the hit soap opera “Dynasty” during its first eight seasons. She reprised the role for the 1991 miniseries, “Dynasty: The Reunion.”
