EUCLID, Ohio — A new chapter has begun for St. Ignatius basketball as Tom Parker takes the helm following the departure of head coach Cam Joyce and several standouts who helped them to a state championship.

Guard Quinn Woidke is now at Kent State, while forward Damon Friery is playing at the University of Dayton. They helped the Wildcats to an OHSAA Division I state title in 2024 and got them back to the state semifinals last season. Then, Joyce left in April for Los Angeles and a job coaching Loyola High School.

Parker had served as one of his top assistants. St. Ignatius picked him in May to succeed Joyce and lead the program he once played for through 2010.
