Agartala, 11 th November 2025: CITU General Secretary Shankar Prasad Datta today said that yesterday’s massive public gathering organized by the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) witnessed the participation of over 25,000 people, making it one of the largest rallies in 2025 which was a success.

Addressing the media, Datta alleged that the BJP had attempted to prevent and disrupt the meeting, instructing its Mandal units to create obstacles to stop people from attending. “They even threatened the public and transport drivers not to participate. Despite such challenges, people turned out in huge numbers, making the event a grand success,” Datta said.
