The Emporia State Hornets beat their rivals in Washburn over the past weekend, and they couldn’t do it without the help of junior linebacker Landon Boss. His contributions helped lead the Hornet defense to limit Washburn to 17 points and secure a 45-17 win for the Hornets. It would also be Boss’s second MIAA Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

The first time he won player of the week honors, he racked up 11 tackles, four sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble against Missouri Southern in a 31-24 win for the Hornets. Against Washburn, he had 12 tackles, three of those for losses, a sack, and a pick-six to continue a spectacular season for the linebacker from Osage City.
