COLUMBUS, Ohio — The holiday season is approaching, and many community centers in Columbus are gearing up to host dinners for families in need.
As households continue to feel the squeeze of elevated grocery costs heading into the winter and the distribution of SNAP benefits remains uncertain, thinking about what to serve for Thanksgiving may bring added stress.
Many are turning to food pantries for support this year, but they say lines are growing longer and demand is rising.
This Thanksgiving, several community partners, including Columbus Recreation and Parks, are offering holiday dinners to help serve holiday meals for families.
