Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton announced that he underwent successful surgery last week after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Singleton, 31, was diagnosed on Nov. 3 after he took a random drug test by the NFL, as is customary for all players. The drug test revealed that Singleton had elevated levels of the hormone hCG in his system, which prompted further medical testing.

After meeting with a urologist, it was determined that Singleton “had signs of a testicular tumor,” he wrote in a post to X on Monday. He said he immediately contacted the Broncos, which scheduled a follow-up appointment to confirm his diagnosis and schedule surgery to remove the tumor.
