A man has been charged almost six months after a woman died running through a glass door in her Sydney home.

Claire Austin, 38, was cut on her arm while trying to get through a sliding door in her apartment in Randwick on April 12.

She was rushed in a critical condition to St Vincent’s Hospital, where she died three days later.

Her death was treated as a suspected domestic violence homicide as police launched Strike Force Lyndoch to investigate.

At the time police spoke to a 44-year-old man known to Austin, who was taken to Maroubra Police Station to assist with inquiries.
