DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - KWQC-TV6 will hold its annual Toys for Tots drive on Dec. 5.

U.S. Marine Corps and volunteers will be at the KWQC Station at 805 Brady St. from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to collect new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations.

According to Toys for Tots officials, stuffed animals and realistic-looking guns are not to be donated. They do not collect clothing.

The toughest age group is boys and girls 10-12 years old, the Marine Corps website said.

Toy distributions will be held throughout December, the website says.

According to the Toys for Tots website, applications to receive toys are open until Nov. 29. Do not forget anyone applying will need to verify in person, the last days to verify are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 15, 17, 19, 22 and 29.
