Canadian-American vocalist Rufus Wainwright has expressed his adoration for the Scottish Highlands, disclosing he "treasures the memory" of when he first witnessed the breathtaking scenery, which moved him to tears.

The Happy Together singer, whose parents are legendary folk musicians Loudon Wainwright III and the late Kate McGarrigle, had the chance to journey to Scotland during his youth.

His father resided in London for ten years following his divorce from Rufus's mother, and on one visit, took Rufus and his sister Martha, also a singer-songwriter, on a drive to the Isle of Skye.
