WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - The Jefferson County Department of Social Services will be holding a food drive to help those in need.

The food drive will be Saturday, November 15th, from 10 AM until 2 PM at the Department of Social Services.

Items that are being requested are:

Fresh foods such as fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy

Canned/pouches of meat such as chicken or tuna

Protein shakes and bars (including soft bars)

Canned beans, chili, beef stew, corned beef hash

Spaghettios and Ravioli

Soups including cream of chicken, mushroom

Canned vegetables such as corn, green beans, carrots

Canned fruits such as pears, peaches, and mixed fruits

Potatoes, including instant, scalloped, Au Gratin

Nut butters such as peanut, cashew, and almond

Baking/cake mixes

Cereal

Boxed mac and chees
