The original plans for John Cena at "Survivor Series" apparently called for a historic moment. The 17-time world champion was slated to finally become a WWE Grand Slam Champion in San Diego.
This was to be achieved by defeating Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship. That match, however, ended up happening on the November 10 episode of "Monday Night Raw" instead.
Cena won the Intercontinental Title during his final appearance in his hometown of Boston. Despite this change, John Cena is still planned for "Survivor Series".
Ibou of Self Made has reported that Cena will be part of Team CM Punk in "WarGames" at the November 29 pay-per-view. "I was informed this morning that John Cena is going to be in the WarGames match with CM Punk," Ibou said.
"He will be on Team Punk".
