A collision on the Edinburgh bypass has triggered huge delays for rush hour commuters.

The incident was first reported at around 4.48pm, between Bonaly and Dreghorn. Motorists were warned it was 'looking slow' round to Hermiston Gait.

The collision saw the eastbound lane at Dreghorn 'restricted'. The condition of those involved is not currently known.

Traffic Scotland said on their site: "The A720 eastbound at Dreghorn is restricted due to a road traffic incident, road users are advised to approach with caution."

Edinburgh Travel News added: "Hearing there has been an RTC on the bypass between Bonaly and Dreghorn. It's looking slow back to Hermiston Gait."

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
