Manchester United's players spoke in favour of Tyrell Malacia's reintegration to first-team training last month , after the Dutch left-back was part of Ruben Amorim's so-called 'bomb squad'. Malacia was one of five players that informed the Reds of his desire to leave the club in the summer.

The 26-year-old struggled for regular game time after returning from a serious knee injury and spent the second half of last season on loan at PSV. He pushed for a move in the off-season but didn't manage to secure an exit, unlike Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho.
