Two men have pled guilty to the 'violent' murder of Greenock dad Michael Beaton.
Michael, 35, was found with serious injuries on Drumfrochar Road at around 7.20pm on Sunday, November 26 2023. The dad-of-three was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment but died just hours later.
Alexander McQuillan (pictured) pled guilty of the murder on November 11 at Glasgow High Court. Richard Mullan previously pled guilty at Glasgow High Court on November 11 last year.
The pair will be sentenced at a later date.
Michael's death has been described as a "shocking and violent attack", with Detective Chief Inspector Graham McCreadie hoping the convictions bring his family "comfort".
