A pedestrian was seriously hurt after being struck while crossing Barton Street East Monday night.
Emergency services were called to the crash just after 5 p.m. on Barton, near Rosslyn Avenue North.
Hamilton police said a Mazda CX-30 SUV was travelling westbound on Barton when it struck a 32-year-old man who was trying to cross the road.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the Mazda was not hurt.
Barton was closed between Rosslyn and Kensington avenues for several hours.
