NEW YORK ( NewsNation ) — With government agencies expected to reopen soon, the blackout on key U.S. economic data will also come to an end. Over the next week, economists expect a “data rush” as long-delayed reports begin to roll out, offering the first real picture of how the economy has held up through the government shutdown .
Since the shutdown began, Americans have been in the dark on key economic information that affects everything from grocery prices and home sales to retirement income.
Economists expect releasing September reports to be a priority, since most of that data was collected before the shutdown. But
