Three students died at the scene of a single-vehicle crash Tuesday just east of Hanover and a fourth student was flown to a London hospital in critical condition.

The students attended John Diefenbaker Senior School, a Grade 7-12 school in Hanover, the Bluewater District school board confirmed in a statement on Wednesday morning.

Hanover is a town of about 8,000 in Grey County, located a two-hour drive north of London.

There are three boys and one girl, aged between 15 and 17, West Grey Police Const. Allyson Isles said Wednesday morning. Isles and a Bluewater spokesman, Jamie Pettit, said they will not be naming the people involved.
