MANCHESTER, N.H. —
As the House meets to consider a bill that would reopen the federal government, both U.S. representatives from New Hampshire are expected to vote against it.
U.S. Reps. Chris Pappas and Maggie Goodlander said Wednesday that they can't support the deal.
Like many other Democrats, the two said they understand the pain that so many people are experiencing because of the shutdown and agree that it needs to end as soon as possible, but they said there should be no deal without a guaranteed agreement to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits.
They said they have to address escalating health care costs.
