AMHERST, NY — An 84-year-old woman drove her car into a Main Street bank on Wednesday afternoon in Williamsville.

The woman drove a 2023 Subaru into a Wells Fargo bank at 6390 Main St., located east of Youngs Road. According to Amherst Police, she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes.

The woman was taken to Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital to be treated. No one else was hurt.

Police say the building was badly damaged.
