PICKENS COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A massive 18-wheeler was found parked near the Pickens County College and Career Center on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Be Pro Be Proud . That was theme inside the trailer as students got a first hand look at careers such as truck driving, welding, heavy equipment operation, robotics and advanced manufacturing.

District leaders with Pickens County Schools said the Be Pro Be Proud Mobile Workshop was powered by the Alabama Construction Workforce Alliance and the Alabama Department of Education.

The movement aims to change perceptions about skilled trades and connects students to rewarding career paths that support Alabama’s growing industries.
