FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Tonight will be clear, so if you missed the auroras last night there’s still a chance you catch them tonight! Another solar flare made contact with Earth earlier this afternoon and now we wait.

The best time to view the lights will be through midnight, though they often pulse, so if you check at, say 7 pm, it wouldn’t hurt to check again an hour or so later!

Now what about that wind? It was vicious today with gusts exceeding 30 mph, but calmer conditions are in store tonight and for at least the next 48 hours. Both Thursday and Friday look mostly sunny with highs in the 50s.
