Mathews Named Program Director of Nursing at John Wood Community College

QUINCY - John Wood Community College has announced the appointment of Laura Mathews as the new Program Director of Nursing.

Mathews earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Hannibal-LaGrange University and began her career as a Registered Nurse at SSM Health St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lake St. Louis in 2011.

She went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing and joined JWCC as an adjunct instructor in 2013. After earning her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2016, Mathews transitioned to a full-time faculty role and later advanced to Assistant Professor of Health Sciences.
