James Van Der Beek is auctioning off his personal collection of Dawson’s Creek and Varsity Blues memorabilia amid his fight against cancer. Following news of his stage 3 colorectal cancer diagnosis last November, Van Der Beek is working with Propstore for their Winter Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction being held Dec. 5-7.

“I’ve been storing these treasures for years, waiting for the right time to do something with them, and with all of the recent unexpected twists and turns life has presented recently, it’s clear that the time is now,” Van Der Beek told People . All proceeds will go to Van Der Beek to assist with the financial cost for his battle with cancer, according to the outlet.
