OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - Students and staff at Albia junior and senior high are set to return to class Thursday after air quality concerns forced the district to move to virtual learning earlier this week.
Someone with the school district said one possible cause is carbon dioxide exposure. An emergency room doctor talked about some of the symptoms with that exposure.
“Generally, you would have symptoms such as a headache, or you may have some confusion. You could even lose consciousness,” said Ottumwa Regional Health ER doctor, T Murdock
Monday, several students and staff reported not feeling well, and the district switched to virtual learning.
