WASHINGTON D.C., DC — Southwest Washington Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez was one of six Democrats who sided with Republicans in passing a bill to end the historic government shutdown .

In a 222-209 vote on Wednesday, Republicans pushed the bill over the finish line by using their slight majority. Gluesenkamp Perez was among a handful of Democrats who broke with their party and voted yes. She was joined by Reps. Adam Gray of California, Jared Golden of Maine, Henry Cuellar of Texas, Tom Suozzio of New York, and Don Davis of North Carolina. Two Republicans, Reps. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Greg Steube of Florida, voted no on the bill.
