GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio —

A Green Township police officer and one other person were rushed to the hospital after a crash Wednesday night.

The crash happened around 7:45 p.m. on Interstate-74, near Rybolt Road and Harrison Avenue. Advertisement

Hamilton County Sheriff Dispatch said the officer was on the side of the road, waiting for a tow truck to help another driver.

Dispatch said another car hit the police cruiser, injuring the officer and another person.

Police at the scene of the crash said the officer had a headache and went to the hospital for a leg injury. The other person's condition is not known. Both people were taken to Mercy Health Hospital.
