WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A new report shows that the average sale price for new homes decreased last month in Wichita. With uncertainty around housing prices across the U.S., South-Central Kansas’ report might come as a shock to some.
Experts with ReeceNichols Realtors partially attribute the lowering numbers to homebuilders keeping their prices down as well.
‘The price point that you saw coming out as lower shows us that there’s builders building more in that affordability price range," said Richelle Knots with ReeceNichols.
They also say that one of the causes is just having a healthier market for buyers, including more homes for sale in the area compared with last year.
