WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Kansas Governor Laura Kelly was in Wichita on Wednesday, her final stop of “The People’s Budget Tour,” an opportunity for Kansans to share their thoughts ahead of the legislative session.

The top questions for the governor on Wednesday night focused on Medicaid and SNAP benefits. People wanted to know if they’re going to receive their full SNAP benefits,

Wednesday night’s stop was held at Wichita East High School. Dozens filled the auditorium and after some brief remarks, Gov. Kelly heard questions about everything from Medicaid to tag office problems. There were also a few questions about improvements to childcare.

Kansas was among the dozens of states that distributed full SNAP benefits last week. President Trump asked those states to return the funds, but Gov.
