FX's action adventure series Shōgun has officially confirmed its season 2 production date as well as its returning and new cast members.

Shōgun season 2 will begin filming in January 2026 in Vancouver. Hiroyuki Sanada and Cosmo Jarvis will reprise their roles as Lord Yoshii Toranaga and John Blackthorne. Several of the first season's actors will also join them in the upcoming installment, including: Fumi Nikaidô (Ochiba), Shinnosuke Abe (Buntaro), Hiroto Kanai (Omi), Yoriko Dôguchi (Kiri), Tommy Bastow (Alvito), Yuko Miyamoto (Gin), Eita Okuno (Saeki), and Yuka Kouri (Kiku).

There will also be a few unfamiliar faces joining the series, too. The new cast consists of Asami Kizukawa (Aya), Masataka Kubota (Hyūga), Sho Kaneta (Hidenobu), Takaaki Enoki (Lord Ito), and Jun Kunimura (Gō
