The District Football Association (DFA) Tura, in collaboration with the Meghalaya Football Association (MFA), has successfully concluded a four-day intensive referee training programme aimed at raising officiating standards across the Garo Hills region.
The objective of the programme was to build a pool of competent referees capable of handling competitions at various levels.
Held from November 10 to 13, the programme combined early morning practical sessions at the P.A. Sangma Stadium with theory classes at the SMELC Building. The sessions were conducted by seasoned instructors—Joy Chandra Singh, an AIFF referee instructor from Manipur, and Ricky Synnah, Head of Referees at the MFA.
