Otis India doubles new equipment orders in three years, expands Bengaluru facility by 20%

Otis India, the Indian arm of elevator and escalator maker Otis Worldwide, says it has doubled has its new equipment orders over the past three years.

Sebi Joseph, President of Otis India, told businessline that India has emerged as Otis’s fastest-growing market among large economies, and is now one of only two global escalator manufacturing hubs for the company, alongside China. In the first quarter of 2025, the Asia Pacific region registered over 20 per cent growth in orders, primarily driven by India and Southeast Asia.

“Over the past three years, we have doubled our new corporate orders and delivered double-digit growth in both top and bottom lines year after year,” he said, adding that Otis has consistently expanded its market share over the past eight to nine years.
