A pedestrian has died following a collision with an HGV and a car on the A50 close to Cavendish Bridge - which links the counties of Derbyshire and Leicestershire.
Police understand that shortly before the collision on Wednesday morning (November 12), the man, who was in his 70s, was driving a blue Peugeot 107, which had left the road nearby and come to rest in a ditch.
Officers say the driver, who had got out of his vehicle, was then involved as a pedestrian in the fatal collision involving the HGV and a red Nissan Juke.
