Baltimore police officers executed enforcement actions, including raids, Wednesday as part of an investigation into the mass overdose in Penn North.

More than two dozen people overdosed in July and were taken to a hospital to receive treatment. The Baltimore City Health Department said Medetomidine, a powerful animal sedative, was found in the drugs.

In early October, 11 people overdosed in the same area. It’s unclear what officers seized or if anyone was arrested in the raids Wednesday.

Police said the investigation into the mass overdose remains open and ongoing.
