The Association of Indian Universities on Wednesday suspended the membership of Al-Falah University in Faridabad with immediate effect, days after the deadly blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, saying the institution does not appear to be in “good standing" as required under its bye-laws.
The decision, communicated through an official letter dated November 13, 2025, cited the university’s alleged involvement in media reports linked to the terror case.
Referring to its bylaws, the AIU said the action was taken as the institution “does not appear to be in good standing."
“The membership of AIU accorded to Al-Falah University, Faridabad, Haryana, stands suspended with immediate effect," the AIU said in a statement.
