Ryan Hunter-Reay , the 2014 Indianapolis 500 champion, will join Arrow McLaren for the 110th race in 2026, the team announced Thursday.
Hunter-Reay will drive the No. 31 Chevrolet, according to a team release. NASCAR champion Kyle Larson drove for Arrow McLaren the past two years, finishing 24th in 2025.
Hunter-Reay led 48 laps in 2025 but ran out of fuel entering the pits on Lap 169. His car failed to restart after refueling.
"This is an incredible opportunity in so many ways," Hunter-Reay said. "After coming so agonizingly close to a shot at the win in last year’s 500, I am beyond primed and ready to make the absolute most of this partnership."
