Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday asked the people to invoke the Right to Information Act (RTI) and find out if the MLA and MP schemes are being properly implemented in the constituencies held by opposition parties citing development deficit in these areas.

“Sometimes I look at different constituencies, specially in the opposition areas, there is a lack of development. I doubt whether the MLA schemes are properly used or not in these constituencies,” Sangma said while speaking during an induction ceremony to welcome former Nongkrem legislator Lambor Malngiang to the National People’s Party (NPP) here on Thursday.

Sangma called on the residents of those areas to file RTIs.
