MARTINSBURG — Swan Pond 4-H Club stuffed stockings for veterans as a community service project during their monthly meeting Tuesday evening. The group, which includes over 75 members, gathered at the Berkeley County Youth Fair grounds where they worked together to show their appreciation to veterans around the world.

This project started last year when Organizational Leader Casey Fields suggested working with Brown Funeral Homes. Her husband’s family owns and operates the funeral home in Martinsburg and for around 10 years they’ve been stuffing stockings for soldiers and veterans. Some of their stockings are even sent overseas to soldiers serving in other countries as well as local veterans in the community.
