LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Nebraskans who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will begin receiving partial payments for November.
President Donald Trump signed the government funding bill Wednesday evening, ending a record 43-day shutdown that caused financial stress for federal workers and families that rely on SNAP.
On Thursday, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services said it has begun issuing partial payments following guidance from the USDA Food and Nutrition Service.
“After guidance was received from the USDA authorizing partial issuances, the team immediately worked to ensure these payments were issued as soon as possible,” said DHHS Office of Economic Assistance Director Shannon Grotrian.
