INDIANAPOLIS – Bartholomew County Treasurer Barbara Hackman has been elected President of the Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) Board of Directors. She began her term on November 1, 2025. Board elections were held during the AIC’s Annual Conference in September.
“I am excited to serve on the Executive Board as President of this great organization serving Indiana’s Local County Government,” said Barbara Hackman.
She began her career in local government as a Matron in the Sheriff’s Department and worked in several different offices/agencies. She was then elected Township Assessor, County Auditor, and now serves as County Treasurer.
Hackman previously served on the AIC Board while in the Auditor’s Office. The AIC Board of Directors sets policies and legislative goals for the organiza
