RCMP have a head-scratcher after a number of valuable items were found in Bay Roberts and recovered by a passerby.

Police are trying to find the owner of a high-value electric scooter and helmet, found along the shoulder of the road on Water Street in Bay Roberts.

Police had not received any reports of theft, and efforts to track down the rightful owner have been unsuccessful.

Anyone missing a scooter and helmet is asked to contact Bay Roberts RCMP at 709-786-2118.

Specific details of the items will not be released so as to ensure that it ends up in the hands of the rightful owner.

The owner will be required to describe the property, provide proof of ownership, and supply the serial number if possible.
