A dad has been locked up after he attempted to smuggle drugs into prison. Lewis Rawles was caught handing over a package of class B drugs - a s ynthetic cannabinoid - to a prisoner at HMP Holme House in Stockton .
Teesside Crown Court heard how the 34-year-old and the man, who he was visiting, were behaving suspiciously. Jenny Hague, prosecuting, said they were speaking to each other minimally and looking around the room at CCTV cameras.
She said a member of staff watched Rawles hand over a small item to the man, who was sitting opposite him. The police were called and a small package of class B drugs were found in his left sock.
When he was arrested, following the incident on March 8, last year, he refused to provide the pin code to his phone. He said he only agreed to carry out
