ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Campaign kicked off Friday, inviting community members to volunteer as bell ringers through Christmas Eve. Last year, volunteers raised $350,446.31, contributing significantly to the $1,180,000 campaign total. This year, the funds will support local needs like healthcare, housing, and groceries. Volunteers in Olmsted County typically raise $100 per hour. “Bell ringing is the easiest, most accessible volunteer opportunity there is,” said Captain Michael D.
