Charges against an off-duty police officer related to an alleged case of impaired driving from a year ago have been dismissed.
Const. Travis Parker Plant, an RCMP officer previously stationed in Glovertown, was involved in a single-vehicle crash in October 2024. It happened on the Trans-Canada Highway just outside Glovertown.
In a statement at the time, the RCMP said officers arrived on the scene around 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 27, 2024.
"He was arrested for impaired operation and was transported to the detachment where he provided breath samples that were more than one and a half times the legal limit," the statement read.
Plant, 34 at the time of the crash, faced two charges related to operating a vehicle while impaired.
However, his defence attorney made a Charter application claimin
