COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) - The 52- year-old man involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a 17-year-old motorcyclist dead is now facing charges.
According to a update from Council Bluffs Police on Friday, authorities have issued a warrant for Jason Lee Evans on several charges, including vehicular homicide while intoxicated, which is punishable by up to 25 years in prison; and leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
“The toxicology results reported that Mr. Evans was nearly four times the legal limit for alcohol and had marijuana in his system that fatal evening,” the CBPD release states.
The crash that claimed the life of Hayden Baker of Council Bluffs happened just before 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17 just off Kanesville Boulevard.
According to CBPD, Baker was stopped on North Broadway
