Cameron Williams, a five-star power forward and the No. 4 player in the country, has committed to Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils. The Phoenix, Arizona product announced the news on Friday, picking them over the Texas Longhorns and Arizona Wildcats.
Williams is ranked as the No. 4 overall player and No. 1 power forward in the 247Sports composite. The 6-foot-11, 200-pounder is also the No. 1 player from Arizona. He is the highest-ranked player in the class to commit.
He is the third member of their 2026 recruiting class, joining five-star small forward Bryson Howard and four-star center Maxime Meyer. The class is ranked as the 3rd best in the country and the best in the ACC by 247Sports. They and Missouri are the only schools to have multiple five-star prospects committed.
Williams possesses an extremely high ceiling and is still developing. His size and athleticism allow him to protect the rim and guard several positions on defense, and attack the rim on offense. He has also shown an impressive accuracy from 3-point range.
The Blue Devils have recruited at an elite level under Scheyer, landing the No. 1 class in the country in back-to-back years. They have a shot to make it three in a row after adding Williams, but they will need to add another elite prospect or two to pull it off.
