Selma mayor Johnny Moss, III addresses the issue of gun violence in the city following back to back homicides in the city last weekend.
Moss held a press conference at city hall Thursday afternoon. He was joined by Police Chief Kenta Fulford and District Attorney Robert Turner, Jr.
Moss said the press conference was held to outline for citizens — the city’s immediate response to deal with the recent increase in gun violence in the city.
“They’re tired of this gun violence. We’re tired of it,” said Moss.
“We need to have a safe city, a safe city for our kids, for our future, for economic development, just for the quality of life for our citizens.”
Two people died following back to back shootings in the city last weekend.
