OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - The City of Owensboro is is kicking off the holiday season with the return of Hometown Christmas.

Leaders say it begins with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 21, at 5:00 p.m.

They say this year’s Hometown Christmas brings even more festive lights and decorations, with new installations.

The Dancing Lights display is returning to the riverfront, with synchronized lights along Veterans Boulevard, the Christmas tree, and the Blue Bridge twinkling to festive music every 15 minutes.

The unique Bourbon Barrel Christmas fixture and light tunnel will also return to McConnell Plaza.
